GIRS works with several Medicaid Managed Care plans nationally and these plans are dynamic as the contracts can change annually. When developing a Medicaid Managed Care Coverage Trends Report for two biologics, we found that within 1.5 years, we obtained positive coverage guidelines from five of the top ten insurers for 2016. Two plans cover the Biologic Products based on medical necessity.
